Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

Porte de Vanves Flea Market

Porte de Vanves Flea Market

Probably my favorite flea market in Paris, Les Puces de Vanves runs every weekend with no exception from 7 am to 2 pm (although most vendors start packing up around 1 pm).  Numerous stalls line the sidewalks along Avenue Marc Sangnier and Avenue Georges Lafenestre in the 14th arrondissement near the Porte de Vanves metro (line 13). Over 300 professional sellers hawk their weekly wares, including everything from silver, copperware, linens, and lace, to old postcards, prints, photographs, cameras, and even furniture. A true flea market in every sense, be prepared to dig through boxes and scour tables full of goods to find the hidden gems. A little french goes a long way in the bargaining department, as the flea market grows more and more touristy. Arrive early when the fast moving dealers snap up bargains and be sure to bring plenty of cash, as credit cards are not accepted here. A coffee cart at the intersection of the two streets comes in handy for that mid-troll pick me up.
